Cabinets

The cabinets in your home or business are the most visible design element in your layout.  Choosing the door profile, wood type, and colors can be a daunting task!  Our cabinet designer is here to help walk you through all these choices and help you think not only of design but of functionality as well.  Here at CCU we will walk you through the elements of your design and provide you with 3D renderings of your new space.

One of the first decisions you'll need to make when you are choosing cabinets is door style. There are a few things to be aware of:

  •  Full overlay doors vs. standard overlay doors  Did you know that cabinet doors come in different sizes that cover a differing amount of space on the face of your cabinets?  Full overlay doors will cover almost the entire face of the cabinet, while standard overlay doesn't.  If you don't have a preference, let us know.  Flexibility in design helps us find you the best pricing.

  • Overall style  While there are many different ways to describe them, the style of your door can fit into one of these categories                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Simple & Clean

  • Cabinet finish  Cabinets can come in a variety of finishes and can even come in a variety of textures.  The most typical finishes that most everyone is aware of is painted or stained, however, there are a multitude of applications that can give your cabinets a linen texture, glossy laminate texture, or even a barnwood look and feel.  You can also choose from glazes in a variety of options including brushed glazing or pencil glazing.  For finishes it's best to visit our showroom.  Finishes can photograph differently based on the lighting used, so you'll want to look at the finish in person and move it around the room to see how it looks in different lighting.

We carry multiple vendors, and we also have partnerships with custom cabinet makers—we want to help you accomplish anything you want done in your home or that you’ve seen on Pinterest!  On a budget?  We can help lead you to cost effective options that still meet your expectations for design and durability.  We’ve installed cabinets throughout Covington, Mandeville, Madisonville, Ponchatoula, Denham Springs, Abita Springs, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and all other surrounding areas.
